Last Meeting the Balance was $xxxxxx. After sending $xxxxto
the Holsinger fund the balance was $xxxx. Bob sent Steve
$xxx For t-shirts and $xxx was also received from two
new members returning the balance to $xxxx. A check was
written to International for $xxxx leaving a balance of
$xxxx. However, the amount sent to International was
questioned by Bob. It was decided that the check would
be cancelled a new check for $xxxx would be issued to
the International.
Steve also requested that the club allow him to buy
some stamps. This was agreed upon.
There was discussion over the shirt sale and GCI. It
was determined that if GCI could fix the problem with
the screen processing, the club would give them another
shot. Leesa will talk to them and bring a sample next
meeting if possible.
Unfinished Business:
There was discussion about the Charity in McPherson.
The club would like to use the Safe House for Women and
Children of Domestic Violence as their Christmas Charity
but has been unsuccessful in reaching any one. We will
continue to try to make contact with the home.
New Business:
There was a lot of discussion about Tim Holsinger and
the need to continue to support him and his family.
Shotgun raffle tickets were offered to the members. Bob
addressed the poker run and the possibility of having a
run with the Gunslingers and the CMA groups.
After sharing that legal obstacles could be over come
according to not only KBI legal but the Attorney
Generals office. The discussion continued.
The members were advised that it would take a lot of
work and it probably would not happen until the Spring
of 2008. Members were advised that there would be a need
for people to seek out donations from all sources not
just motorcycle connected.
It was also determined that Dwight would talk to the
CMA membership to see if they would want to join with us
in this endeavor. Calls from the Gunslinger organization
have come in from as far away as Minnesota.
The club will need a lot of volunteers and it was
felt that perhaps by joining with these other
organizations we would be more successful.
If anyone had any suggestions on how to go forward
with this they were to e-mail Bob and he would get out
the message to everyone else.
Tim Davis has offered to provide a refresher
motorcycle course if anyone is interested. The members
were to e-mail Bob with their interest.
There was discussion about the need for a Secretary.
No decision was made.
Next Meeting

. Bob Burns
The next meeting will be October 20th at El
Dorado.
Miscellaneous Discussion:
It was also discussed that perhaps a meeting in the
future could be in Independence or Coffeyville where our
two new members are located.
Bob passed out the Thin Blue Line strips for the
tags.
The meeting was adjourned.
