Agenda / Minutes

1/21/06

Welcome/Sign in. ……………………………………...…...……. Bob Burns

Those in attendance were: Steve and Leesa Smih, Larry Mazur, Dick Clark, Dave and Diane Keene, Marve Ayers, Mike Cathy and Nate Keller, David Allen, Jim and Peggy Wilson, Brian Smith, Bob Burns and Amanda Mains.

Reports:

Treasurer………………………………..….…….……… Steve Smith

At the time of the report we had $XXX in the bank without counting membership money that had been collected to be mailed to the National. The total would be about $XXX with membership money.

There were 2 checks written, one for $XXX for membership and one for $XXX to open a local checking account. We discussed how many people to put on the signature card and felt we should put the executive board on it (the credit is against this, saying too many is not good business).

Bill McShane sent his patches he received but hadn’t paid for back attached to a leather vest along with $XXX. The check will be returned and Larry Mazur purchased the vest for $XXX. $XX will be sent to Mr. McShane along with his check. David Allen also purchased a set of patches for $XX.

Unfinished Business:

Membership……………………………………………………………Bob Burns

Discussion was opened by Bob Burns on confirming Robert Cruz and David Allen to be the chapter’s honorary members. Bob Burns solicited comments or alternative members. None were proposed and when put to a vote the honorary members were confirmed by a majority vote.

During the membership renewal, we lost 7 members.

Media release……………………………………………………………Bob Burns

Dick Clark made arrangements with Bob Burns to provide Bob Burns the by-laws and other chapter paper work that he has stored.

New Business:

Mid-American Credit Union was discussed as an alternative to the present bank because of the geographical location. Bob and Dave will check the feasibility of the move. Steve and Dick will check the non-profit number to be used for the new account.

Bob Burns suggested we look at sponsoring some type of a run or rally that could be done in conjunction with another event such as the Big Dog’s Tornado Rally. Papa John’s has indicated they might be interested in helping.

Next Meeting…………………………………….…….…. Bob Burns

The next meeting was discussed and Brian Smith suggested the Benton Antique Mall restaurant and would check to see if it was still open. Sunday February 26 was the next day suggested.
